Message from the ZDE
Providing quality and equitable education to all the children is the main duty of every educational staff in accordance with the National Education Policies of Sri Lanka and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 21st Century. In that sense, the main objective of the Batticaloa Zonal Education Office is not only to develop knowledge but also to develop qualified future leaders through skill and attitude development. We can provide a workforce to the country with fully equipped knowledge, skills and attitudes furnished by the successful implementation of the formal curriculum as well as the extra-curricular and co – curricular activities. As the Zonal Director of Education, it is my main duty to facilitate the accomplishment of this ideal society, by managing the physical and human resources to their maximum capacity. I wish you all to be bestowed with the strength needed to fulfill your share of duty in achieving this objective.
